I am an evolutionary geneticist working as a researcher for the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) at the Institute of Physiology, Molecular Biology and Neurosciences (IFIBYNE) at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Using Drosophila flies and other insects as models, my research is mainly focused on sperm competition, sexual conflict, and the evolution of reproductive traits such as seminal proteins.

I am also a wildlife lover interested in nature conservation and sustainable utilization of natural resources. Thus, my biggest professional ambition is to transfer the scientific findings on insect reproductive biology into the development of innovative environmentally-friendly tools for insect pest management. I am committed to generating, for instance, species-specific and non-contaminant insecticides by genetically engineering reproductive proteins.
